The Dental Hygienist is a licensed dental provider engaged in the general practice of dental/oral hygiene and all related or associated duties including patient/community education, clinical and therapeutic dental hygiene procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide dental prophylaxis and /or scaling and root planning of teeth and gingival tissue curettage.
Provide oral health education to patients.
Apply topical fluorides for the prevention of tooth decay.
Administer anesthesia when needed under direct supervision of a dentist.
Take and develop dental radiographs.
Apply dental sealants.
Place periodontal dressings under direct supervision of a dentist.
Place and remove sutures under direct supervision of a dentist.
Provide oral screenings to pre-selected cohort groups ( school children, company employees).
Supervise dental hygiene students in clinical environment.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Continuous learning in both personal and professional development.
Consistent review, comprehension and reply of company email and related correspondence.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSLicense to practice Dental Hygiene in the State of Arizona.
Certificate of completion from accredited Dental Hygiene Program.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSCollege Degree in Dental Hygiene from accredited University.
SALARY$70,000.
00 to $80,000.
