Sterilization Technician at North Country HealthCare Flagstaff, AZ

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONSterilization tech are tasked with the proper handling, cleaning, assembly, testing, and packaging of may kinds of dental instruments.
Clean operatory, and set up for procedures.
Must follow protocol to ensure the equipment remains sterile during transport to storage.
Manage inventory, and disassemble some devices, clean and sterilize them and maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in working order daily.
Report any problems with equipment to supervisor immediately.
order necessary supplies or replacement parts when applies.
May assist the provider with minor procedures when requested, suctions, develop x-rays and some administrative duties when requested.
Must know and understand the importance of PPE (personal protective equipment) have knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESKept all instruments sterilized, maintain the sterilization room.
Maintain equipment, disassemble clean, and sterilize, spore testing, sterile indicator strips.
Recover items from operatories and clean the room, setup for next patient when asked.
Put away inventory each day, order supplies when needed.
May assist the providers with minor procedures,suctions, develop x-rays.
Have the knowledge to perform minor repairs to some equipment, and how equipment operates.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Continuous learning in both personal and professional development.
Consistent review, comprehension and reply of company email and related correspondence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCandidates need to have a high school diploma; however, completion of a sterilization program and certification is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
