At Cordant Health Solutions , we are made up of motivated and compassionate team members who are all part of the solution! We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory operations team in Flagstaff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing samples for analysis on various technology.
This includes sample handling of urine and oral fluid specimens from sample preparation to extraction, and strict adherence to chain of custody documentation.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory procedures and techniques, as well as knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
We are hiring for various shifts.
Your shift availability and preference will be discussed during the interview.
Responsibilities:
Follow safety protocols and procedures when handling laboratory materials.
Perform sample preparation techniques Review and enter chain of custody forms.
Separates out samples that require additional attention Determines if proper aliquot achieved; may be required to hand pour aliquots using bulb pipettes May perform additional duties including transportation of batches to extractions (remove), pulling samples from freezer storage for additional testing, movement of samples to other areas, including frozen final storage or destruction, and similar tasks while assuring proper chain of custody Follows all laboratory policies and procedures; adheres to all health and safety standards Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
Troubleshoot equipment problems.
