The ideal candidate will be professional in demeanor and appearance.
The GM will have the experience, ability and drive to lead and manage all aspects of the hotel to deliver results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on revenue growth, associate and guest engagement, profitability, and compliance with brand standards.
The GM will lead by example in these fundamental areas of focus:
1.
Achieving superior customer service so that guest love to stay at this property and will recommend the hotel to others.
2.
Driving revenue and profitability.
3.
Cleanliness of rooms and common areas.
4.
Creating an environment where employees enjoy working.
5.
Becoming an expert in all areas of the hotel.
Salary Range of $75-91K depending on qualifications and experience Responsibilities and Attributes include :
Integrity in all aspects of life and work.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to effectively hire, train, schedule and develop hotel staff to enable effective job performance, create unity, and motivation.
Resolve employee issues.
Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills to take initiative and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Through personal leadership and example, establish a friendly, service-oriented, can do approach to resolving guest concerns that is exhibited by all hotel departments.
Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for clarification when needed.
Ensure all Marriott standards and policies are implemented.
Proficiency in reports including daily financials, AR, Revenue, Payroll, and guest metrics.
Ensure proper inventory of supplies for each department.
Confidently make difficult decisions regarding hotel operations.
Ensure hotel staff compliance to assigned position's duties and performance standards.
Ensure staff is fully trained in emergency procedures.
Monitor hotel performance and make adjustments to maximize revenue.
Appropriately respond to feedback on Social Media and Brand sites.
Thorough in executing directions from ownership, Brand, and management.
Delegate and follow through with assignments made to staff and others.
Professionally write and communicate in English.
Proficient in Microsoft programs.
Ability to learn Marriott related systems.
